Description

ETC Sterilization Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its sterilization systems division to provide engineering, design and CAD drawings and documentation for the manufacture of sterilization equipment. Candidate will support manufacturing, sales and engineering in the Sterilizer Department.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Working knowledge of heat transfer and fluid dynamics application engineering in compressible and incompressible fluid flow

  • Applied Vacuum science in low to mid range vacuum

  • Stress analysis including beam design, flat plate, composite members, and structural frames.

  • ASME Code pressure vessel design knowledge a plus but not a prerequisite.

  • Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) preparation

  • Working knowledge of ISA Standard 5.1 a plus but not a prerequisite.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skill.

  • AutoCAD skill in producing simple mechanical layouts and piping and instrument diagrams.

  • AutoDesk Inventor or equivalent skills in developing modeled assemblies a plus but not a pre requisite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Candidate must be able to read two and three dimensional drawings and must have an ability to interpret piping and instrument diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, fabrication drawings for vessels and electrical drawings as a reference.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to gather, analyze, and organize complex information drawing accurate and valid conclusions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of dynamic variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision to complete tasks in a fast-paced, flexible office environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize requests.
  • Basic knowledge of standard business practices, procedures, and business functions able to handle sensitive or confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Possess excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of a variety of components and systems.

Educational Requirements

BS Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Certified Institution of Higher Learning

Experience

Three (3) to Five (5) years of mechanical engineering experience in equipment design and engineering

 

 

 

 

Candidate must be US citizen or an otherwise lawful US resident
