Environmental Tectonics Corporation, a growing, dynamic US Company located just outside of Philadelphia, PA is seeking a local Quality Control Inspector to support our operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Lead and perform detailed quality inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensional accuracy and surface integrity.
- Inspect large custom precision machined parts and weldments both in-house and at vendor locations.
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of precision measuring instruments to ensure continued measurement accuracy.
- Interpret and adhere to internal Quality System policies, procedures, and work instructions in compliance with company standards.
- Accurately record, document, and maintain inspection and test results for traceability and reporting purposes.
- Perform data entry and inventory transactions following inspection activities.
- Conduct testing, collect and document test data in support of engineering and quality assurance programs or projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to promptly resolve quality issues and ensure product compliance with specifications.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Hands-on experience using standard mechanical and electrical measuring/test equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, multimeters).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, precision-focused custom machine shop environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Solid understanding of quality management principles and industry standards such as ISO 9001 or equivalent.
- Preferred: CQI (Certified Quality Inspector) or AWS (American Welding Society) inspection certification.
