Description

We are seeking a qualified Technical Sales candidate with a background in Steam Sterilization or associated equipment. Primary responsibility will be in the Sale of Steam Sterilizers/Autoclaves, used in the Life Sciences Market.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical reviews of incoming bid solicitations/packages.

  • Generate & submit technical questions.

  • Generate a technical proposal to meet the specific requirements of the project.

  • Generate any technical exceptions to the specification.

  • Compile commercial exceptions via feedback from the Contracts Dept.

  • Provide cost work-ups using an estimating excel spread sheet.

  • Interact with Project Managers for current delivery (shop loading).

  • Interact with Engineering, Manufacturing, & Service Depts.

  • Follow-up on the status of outstanding quotes.

  • Meet with potential clients (whenever possible) to discuss submitted bid offer.

  • Interface with clients, as necessary, during duration of the project.

  • Respond to email or phone inquires or requests for technical information.

  • Provide technical specifications for specific projects.

  • Meet with and present to A&E firms, Lab Planners

  • Provide technical specifications for specific projects.

  • Attended National & local Trade Shows.

  • Provide information needed for product promotions and/or Marketing Campaigns.

  • Contribute to writing of News Releases for the Sterilizer Business Unit.

     

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Technical Sales for Sterilizers, Autoclaves, Freeze Dryers, or other pressure rated type vessels.
  • Bachelor's degree in the Sciences, preferably engineering, plus two years of applicable experience, or combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Mechanical / Electrical skill set, and experience with pressure vessels a major asset.
  • Proficiency in basic business applications, such as Microsoft Office; user knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to offer creative problem solving solutions
  • Understanding Ability to draft professional e-mails, memos, business letters, and reports, and to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal audiences and client groups
  • Ability to learn project management skills and to participate as part of a project team
