Environmental Tectonics is seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Technician to join our support team located in Dayton, Ohio in maintaining Aero-Medical Training Equipment. The qualified candidate will report to the site supervisor. This position is responsible for the safe execution of preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and overall availability of equipment. This position requires daily reporting of maintenance activities and collaboration with other technicians and departments within the organization as required.
Job responsibilities
Responsible for equipment preventive maintenance, planned & emergency repairs, inspections and reporting.
Conduct assigned preventive and corrective maintenance tasks safely and efficiently
Monitor overall equipment performance
Accountable for maintaining the required equipment operational availability
Report maintenance activities correctly and efficiently
Accurately charge hours worked to correct job order
Comply with all equipment operation and maintenance requirements
Comply with required regulations and procedures including local, EPA and OSHA
Actively participate in group meetings
Provide technical assistance to other maintenance staff as requested
Be able to adjust work hours and/or work overtime, as required (typ. shift 8 hrs / day)
Ability to travel domestically or internationally on occasion
Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
HS diploma (related technical / trade school or associate degree preferred)
5 years of commercial / industrial refrigeration service experience
EPA universal certification
Comfortable working independently
Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, schematics and parts lists
Ability to operate refrigeration gauges, reclaim equipment, multi-meter, etc…
Ability to braze, solder, and perform various piping activities
Ability and knowledge to safely troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control issues
Plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC experience a plus
Ability to read, write and communicate the English language
Basic computer literacy
Supply basic hand tools
Candidate must be US citizen or an otherwise lawful US resident
