Description

Leading manufacturer of Industrial Custom Equipment has opening for a Project/Program Manager.
 

Project manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of domestic and international projects on time and on budget, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and goals of the organization.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Involvement throughout the project cycle; coordinating all engineering input for the initial bid to the customer, preparing a detailed project budget and managing execution of the project to meet contract requirements on time and budget
  • Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define tasks and required resources
  • Plan and implement projects to meet contract requirements
  • Collect and manage project team
  • Manage budget
  • Allocate project resources
  • Create schedule and project timeline
  • Track deliverables
  • Support and direct team to meet contract delivery requirements on time and on budget
  • Lead quality assurance
  • Monitor and report on project progress, highlighting successes and trouble spots.
  • Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Evaluate and assess result of project

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years manufacturing experience

  • Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent

  • Theoretical and practical project management knowledge

  • Knowledge of techniques and tools

  • Experience as a project manager

  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and presentations skills are required

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills required

  • Able to work with others to produce results in a professional, productive, cooperative environment

  • Ability to participate in a creative professional exchange of ideas with peers and management
