Description

We are an exciting, leading-edge technology company located near Philadelphia looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our group.  We provide the opportunity to exercise your talents in a friendly, casual atmosphere which is both technically innovative and challenging.  Our Aircrew Training Systems (ATS) group is at the forefront of the worldwide pilot training centrifuge market and constant innovation is an absolute requirement.  Candidate will be required to work effectively as part of the ATS team.  Close interaction and sharing of ideas will be a daily activity.  Organized work habits, good communication skills, and a willingness and drive to innovate are a necessity.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The person employed in this role will take on various design projects which will include designing interrelated electro-mechanical mechanisms, sheet metal components, structural weldments and piping.  Additional activities will include BOM generation, calculation documentation, and purchased part research and selection.  This position will include contact with suppliers, manufacturers, and/or contractors, when necessary.

Requirements:

  • 8 years design experience within a design and manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Autodesk Inventor proficiency preferred. Inventor Pro 2022 or later preferred.  SOLIDWORKS experience with a willingness to master Autodesk Inventor acceptable.
  • Self motivated with ability to handle assignments with minimum guidance.
  • GD&T and manufacturing process experience preferred.

Duties may also include:

  • Daily contact with the employees on the shop floor and in the office area.
  • Obtaining and managing quotes of needed purchased items.
  • Managing approval drawings.
  • Fielding vendor and shop engineering questions.
  • Supporting outside engineering houses with information and technical direction.
Candidates must be US Citizen or an otherwise lawful US resident.
