Environmental Tectonics Corporation, a growing, dynamic US Company located just outside of Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work and be involved with the design and development of stand-alone, distributed I/O, SCADA and network based controls systems for integration with a variety equipment.
The successful applicant will have:
- The ability to apply basic electrical engineering principles to design, fabricate, modify, enhance and evaluate moderately complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems for new and existing products within budget and time constraints under general direction from a lead engineer.
- Experience developing complete control systems including panel assemblies and wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Self-motivated with drive to complete assigned tasks with minimal guidance.
- Willingness to learn and bring new ideas to the engineering team.
- Knowledge of CAD software (Autodesk, Product Design Suite), measuring devices, engineering lab equipment, and typical engineering office resources
- Intermediate level computer skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical experience a must
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Working Knowledge of electrical codes (i.e. NEC, NFPA, UL508A) is desired
- 5-10 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Your duties will be to:
- Create and design panel assembly drawings with full wiring diagrams and control system schematics using AutoCAD.
- Assist in identifying problems with existing designs and recommend, implement and document approved changes.
- Coordinate efforts with the mechanical design team.
- Provide technical support for electrical technicians and assemblers.
- Assist test engineers in the component and bench testing.

This is a Full Time 40 hour a week position and also offers opportunity for career progression.
